Superb, beautiful accomodation

This beautiful guest house situated across the road from fabulous Trim castle (and beautiful walk by the River Boyne) is an absolute gem. Elegantly decorated, scrupulously clean, fantastic, comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. And I don't normally like breakfast not at home. I only wish I could have stayed longer than one night.

Highfield House, a beautiful traditional home situated almost across the street from Trim Castle. Good parking--Geraldine was very informative and helpful. Beautifully furnished and very nicely taken care of, lots of attention to detail—small double room but everything was beautiful with a modern new bathroom—good water pressure and a great breakfast. Unfortunately we only stayed one night using this as our jumping off spot for Dublin Airport a quick 40 minutes away. We were sorry not to have had more time as Trim was delightful... although our room was quite small we could easily have emptied our suitcases into the dresser for more space for a longer stay.
We would definitely return!

The Best B&B

I have stayed in B&B's for over 40 years. This is the best by far and one of the least expensive. Our room was worth twice what we paid. The owner and staff were terrific. The location is perfect (right across from Trim Castle) and easy parking. We hope to come back again. Both this B&B and Trim are wonderful. Trim was barely mentioned in our travel book. I do not understand why. I wish all B&B's were close to this nice.

Highfield House is very warm and cozy, and the breakfast has great variety on offer and very tasty too! Would stay there again, great location too close to Trim Castle.

Can't wait to go back

Such a wonderful experience had by our family staying in a superb environment.
Every thing there was perfection. Wonderfully friendly hosts. Thanks especially to Georgina who was so hospitable and accommodating. Can't wait to return to Ireland, and HHGH in beautiful Trim, will be the first place we'll be headed.

Fantastic stay!

Fantastic B&B! Geraldine was a fabulous hostess. We arrived late afternoon and she welcomed us with tea and scones. She suggested a nice walk around the town with a nice stop at Marcie Regan's pub (2nd oldest pub in Ireland) Room was huge and very nice for our family of three. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked to order. We had a lovely time here...highly recommend it!

Highfield High was beautiful! The rooms are gorgeous, the food is delicious and the loction can't be beat!!! Wish we could've spent more time there.

A B & B not to miss

Among our favorite B & B’s of our 16 day Ireland travels. Beautiful grounds, comfortable accommodations, welcoming breakfast room, and delicious breakfast. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful B&B!

Geraldine and Ed are very welcoming hosts. Although they say they have been operating their B&B for many years, their approach is fresh and inviting. The driveway to their home on the hill is surrounded by lovely plantings which are painstakingly cared for by Ed. The house itself is decorated with an abundance of lovely floral displays. Geraldine was cheerful upon our arrival, and when I indicated that I needed to find a laundromat to wash out a few things, she absolutely insisted on doing it for me as she had a previous guest who spent two hours of his vacation waiting for his clothes to dry. The next morning I received my washed and dried clothes, smelling fresh and ready for the road. The bedroom we occupied was beautifully appointed, with period furniture and several paintings. There are many attractive architectural features in the rooms, but still it was cozy and the bed was firm offering a great night's sleep. We only stayed one night, but it afforded a chance to explore Trim and the castle and ancient ruins that form the basis for the town's draw. The castle and town are a short walk away so that it is unnecessary to move your car. And finally, the breakfast in the morning was tasty and filling.
